FAQ

Q: How long can I keep my boat in the water at Cassidy’s?

A: Most of our customers are fair weather sailors and since the weather isn’t very good around the middle of October most folks have their boat out by then. We try and have all of the boats out of the water by Thanksgiving. If you are hardcore fisherman and you don’t mind the cold weather we’ll work with you.

Q: Can I keep my boat at the marina in the winter?

A: Yes. We offer full service for winter boat storage. We can provide shrink wrap and winterization of your engine and systems. We even have customers who only keep their boats here for the winter. Most of our summer boat slip customers store their boats here for the winter.

Q: Can I work on my boat myself?

A: Yes. If you do need a pro to help you with your boat, we have people available. If you have your own mechanic he will need to check in at the office with us before going into the marina.

Q: Where can I park at the Marina?

A: We have parking near the boat slips in most cases or at least very close to the boat slips. There is plenty of parking on site at the marina.

Q: How do I check the availability of boat slips at the marina?

A: Just give us a call. Tell us what you need and we’ll be happy to work with you.

Q: What is the approach depth to your marina?

A: The approach depth at Cassidy’s Marina is approximately 6 feet. The Metedeconk River is very deep. Fixed keel sailboats love it here.

Q: How close are you to the Barnegat Bay?

A: By water we are about 2 and a half miles to the Barnegat Bay. We are also about 4 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.

Q: Do you have a boat ramp?

A: No. We can launch your boat with our 20 ton boat lift. We do offer boat trailer storage for our summer boat slip customers. Once you have a boat slip at Cassidy’s you might want to sell your trailer because you’ll find that having a slip is so much easier than launching it off the trailer every time you want to use the boat.

Q: Do you have a area to clean fish?

A: Of course. We have cleaning stations on each dock. We just ask that you clean up after yourself.
